Key dates for Spring, Fall Evaluations

With Spring Evaluations for the U10-U18 age groups for the 2023-24 season approved earlier this year, more details have been released on specific dates and timelines. For information on U9 and Below, please click here.

The seasonal calendar includes the key concepts and principles of the Canadian Player Pathways framework, and closely mirrors the current structure and format implemented for the 2022-23 season for a smoother planning process for Associations and coaches.

With OHF Championships scheduled for April 21-23, 2023, Spring Evaluations will begin the following Monday – April 24, 2023.

Regardless of when teams were selected, Associations can provide sanctioned individual skills training or hockey schools beginning August 28. Tournaments may begin on September 22 with the Regular Season starting as soon as October 2. All teams must be engaged in meaningful competition until March 1, 2024 – no teams may be eliminated from competition before this date.
